An experimental investigation has been made on the unsteady pressure-flow behaviour of collapsible tubes, particularly the effects due to downstream resistance and reservoir head. The mean pressure-flow characteristics as well as pressure and flow waveforms were obtained. It has been found that different pressure and flow waveforms may be obtained depending on the downstream reservoir head and resistance even though the tube's mean pressure and flow rate are similar.
