Abstract: A single row of closely spaced Composite Pile breakwater can be used for wave attenuation. The composite structures eliminate the pile uplift and other constructional problems when they are driven in close spacing into the soft clay under the sea-bed. To study the wave attenuation characteristics of such breakwaters, a series of wave tank experiments are performed and reported.
