Irregular, flaky, and elongated shaped granite stones from Singapore quarries conforming to the limits of gradation specified were studied. The bituminous mixes prepared by using quarry dust, cement, and sulphur as filler materials were tested for stability, including tensile strength and Marshall stability. This paper reports the results of the investigation and discusses the influence of the type of filler and shape of aggregates on the stability of bituminous mixes. Quarry dust as a filler performs best, irrespective of the shape of the aggregate, compared to the other two fillers studied; sorting of the aggregates into elongated shapes is found to further improve the stability significantly.
