Mg10.3%Ti and Mg5%Al10.3%Ti metal-metal composites have been fabricated using mechanical milling. Strain to failure was found to have dramatically increased from 2.6% to 41.7% after the milling process. The increase in strain to failure is associated to the smaller grain size. Fractograph study shows ductile failure.
