We develop an ideal mathematical model of the edge-region and the smooth-region in the images. Through the theoretical analysis, we find the blur process will not change the derivative of the image in a smooth-region if the derivative is along the orientation of the motion. We propose an algorithm to identify the extension and extract the parameters of the PSF from the derivative of blurred images. The results of the experiments demonstrate that this blur identification method is effective and non-sensitive to noise.
