The aim of this work is to investigate the physical and chemical properties of the polymer blend of poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyhexanoate) (PBX) and polycaprolactone (PCL) fabricated by solvent casting. Our characterization results show that 10%PBX90%PCL has improved Young's modulus and percentage elongation (%EL) over its parent components. In addition, 10%PBX90%PCL has shown better ability to maintain its tensile strength and %EL after degradation in sodium hydroxide (NaOH). Mass loss analysis also indicated that 10%PBX90%PCL has the least mass loss.
