Title: | Performance analysis of multichannel CSMA/CD network with noisy channels | Authors: | Chua, K.C. | Issue Date: | 1991 | Citation: | Chua, K.C. (1991). Performance analysis of multichannel CSMA/CD network with noisy channels. Conference Record - International Conference on Communications 3 : 1367-1371. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | An analysis is made of the performance of a multichannel nonpersistent CSMA/CD network operating with channels that are susceptible to random noise corruption. A multichannel architecture is studied in view of its superior performance as well as its increased reliability. It is shown that despite an increased susceptibility to noise-induced packet failure owing to longer packet transmission time, the use of multiple channels still brings about improvements in throughput and delay performance. | Source Title: | Conference Record - International Conference on Communications | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/72848 | ISBN: | 0780300068 | ISSN: | 05361486 |
