Title: | Nyquist filters with robust performance against timing jitter | Authors: | Farhang-Boroujeny, B. Mathew, G. |
Issue Date: | 1996 | Citation: | Farhang-Boroujeny, B.,Mathew, G. (1996). Nyquist filters with robust performance against timing jitter. Conference Record / IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference 2 : 1335-1339. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | In this paper, we propose two novel techniques for designing finite impulse response (FIR) Nyquist filters with zero intersymbol interference, good robustness to timing jitter and satisfactory stop-band performance. The first technique is a special kind of windowing method. The second technique is a minimax method resulting in equiripple FIR Nyquist filters which can be optimally partitioned into a matched transmit and receive filter pair. Examples show superior performance of the proposed pulse shapes compared to the existing techniques. | Source Title: | Conference Record / IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/72814 |
