dc.description.abstract | The EFMPlus is the run-length-limited modulation code adopted for the DVD. Enhanced performance can be obtained by using equalizers that exploit the d=2 constraint of this code. Two such equalizers are presented and their performance evaluated using modeling and simulations. The use of this equalization strategy avoids the Viterbi detector, and optimal detection is provided by use of only a comparator. | |
