This paper presents a finite element analysis of nonlinear magnetostatic field based on an artificially hardened model of soft magnetic materials. The nonlinearity of B-H curves is decomposed into two parts, one part with lower non linearity degree is included in the left hand side of the field equation and the other in the right hand side as the source term. The iteration error can reach the required error tolerance for all the nonlinear magnetic field problems which have been tried.
