dc.description.abstract | An effective compensation method is proposed to eliminate the beamforming distortions in compact antenna arrays due to the effects of mutual coupling.By using the receiving mutual impedances with the optimal Riblet-Chebyshev weights, it is possible to restore the distorted antenna array patterns for effective beamforming.Equations are derived to determine the compensated Riblet-Chebyshev weights used to restore the distorted antenna array patterns.Numerical examples using a compact antenna array are discussed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed compensation method. | |
