dc.description.abstract | This paper deals with the read/write (R/W) gap delay measurement and estimation problem in self-servo track writing. Kalman filtering approach is applied in the estimation of the R/W gap delay. The technique presented in this paper is expected to save the process time for capturing the R/W gap delay during self-servo track writing. The simulation result demonstrates the effectiveness of the presented technique. © 2006 IEEE. | |
