dc.description.abstractThe performance of decision-aided maximum likelihood (DA ML) phase estimation is investigated for different modulation formats, and Gardner-timing-based frequency offset estimation is demonstrated which achieves an estimation range of 0.5 times the system symbol rate. © 2012 OSA.
