Abstract: The magnetic shielding efficiency at 50 Hz of rooms with windows and doors is studied in this paper. The equation of the curl of magnetic vector potential is implemented through the Finite Element Method to find the magnetic shielding efficiency. The entire analysis has been done in two dimensions. The shielding rooms with different sizes and windows openings are compared. The effects of thickness, conductivity, and permeability of the shielding materials are discussed. The effect of H field direction is also investigated. The shielding rooms made up of four different materials are compared and the edge effects due to ferromagnetic materials are discussed.
