dc.description.abstractWe propose a novel frequency offset estimator by using canonical Kalman filter in coherent optical phase-shift keying systems. Simulation results show that it can quickly search for the frequency offset and approach the performance of an ideal frequency offset estimator. © 2010 Optical Society of America.
