The antenna consists of a partially reflective sheet (PRS) formed by a finite-sized periodic array of metal patches printed onto a grounded dielectric substrate and a feeding microstrip patch embedded in the substrate. The proposed antenna achieves beam switching within an angle of ±15° with consistent gain as the antenna is excited at varying positions in the cavity.
