dc.description.abstractWe studied the performance comparison among data-aided maximum likelihood (DA ML) phase estimation, block phase estimation (PE) and differential detection in optical differential quadrature phase shift keying system. Numerical results show that DA ML has the best performance on both linear and nonlinear optical channel.
