An experimental study on the vapour liquid equilibria of an ethanol-water system saturated with dissolved glucose was carried out at subatmospheric pressures. The dissolved glucose was found to salt-out ethanol giving an ethanol enriched vapour phase. The enrichment increases with increase in the system pressure. Predicted vapour liquid equilibrium by the model recently developed by T. C. Tan compared very well with the experimental data. It gave an overall mean predicted/experimental ratio of 1. 009 for the vapour composition and temperature and an overall mean difference of 0. 0046 for the vapour composition and 0. 6 for the temperature.
