dc.description.abstract | This article is intended to present an overview of developments in the field of capillary electrophoresis (CE) and its application to the analysis of microenvironments. Instrumental developments in injection and detection methods and the separation chemistries are outlined. Emphasis is placed on methods and means that have significantly improved the capability of CE. Subsequently, several selected applications to the exploration of microenvironments such as CE-based sensors, CE on microchip, and single cell analysis are described. The recent advancements in these areas are highlighted. | |
