Abstract: This paper presents the design and construction of a ferrocement rectangular flume to be used for conducting hydraulic model tests under wave action. The flume, 2 m wide multiplied by 1. 3 m high multiplied by 35 m long, is constructed of prefabricated ferrocement slabs connected by in-situ joints and supported on steel frames and columns. The slab panels and steel frame are properly detailed to meet the stringent tolerance and alignment requirements. The salient features of design considerations and construction technique are discussed.
