dc.description.abstract | The synthesis of dual-brush-type amphiphilic triblock copolymer with intact epoxide functional groups from consecutive reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) and atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) polymerization, was described. Depending on its architecture and chemical composition, linear amphiphilic block copolymer can self-assemble into micelles, vesicles, and a variety of other morphologies. Results suggest that the molecular weights and composition of heterogeneous brush-type copolymers could be successfully controlled by the monomer to initiator feed ratios in combined RAFT and ATRP. It was found that the aggregates of nanosized spherical micelles are discernible. | |
