dc.description.abstractA new structure, suitable for implementing narrow as well as moderately wide transition band FIR filters, is presented. The proposed structure leads to a saving of 20-40% in the number of multipliers for moderately wide transition band filters. The saving for the narrow transition band filter increases with decreasing transition width.
