The corrosion resistance of the composite was superior to that of the monolithic alloy. This has been explained by considering the beneficial effect of alumina reinforcement in reducing the volume fraction of the beta phase in the microstructure. © 2009 Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.||Source Title:||Corrosion Engineering Science and Technology||URI:||http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/60184||ISSN:||1478422X||DOI:||10.1179/147842208X356857|
