Abstract: A model has been presented to account for the propagation of sound from a passing vehicle in a housing estate. It has been verified that parallel blocks tend to increase the maximum sound pressure level from a passing vehicle by as much as 4 dB (A) and at the same time increase the decay time by more than 50%.
