|Title:||Solar assisted open cycle absorption cooling||Authors:||Hawlader, M.N.A.||Issue Date:||Jun-1994||Citation:||Hawlader, M.N.A. (1994-06). Solar assisted open cycle absorption cooling. RERIC International Energy Journal 16 (1) : 27-41. ScholarBank@NUS Repository.||Abstract:||This paper presents a review of the research activities performed in the area of solar assisted open-cycle absorption cooling (SAOCAC). This method of cooling causes no environmental problems and has shown good potential for use in space cooling applications. The important variables affecting the performance of SAOCAC have been identified. The heat and mass transfer correlations for glazed and unglazed collectors/regenerators (C/Rs) have also been described. The performance of glazed and unglazed C/Rs operating under different meteorological conditions has been investigated. An unglazed C/R was found to perform better than a glazed C/R under arid weather conditions.||Source Title:||RERIC International Energy Journal||URI:||http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/58700||ISSN:||08576173|
