dc.description.abstract | The characteristics of orientation conjugation in a system of rotating reflecting prisms are studied. A generalized coordinate system is introduced to describe the orientation and rotation of the system of reflecting prisms and images. A method is then presented for quantifying the second-order image rotations relating to multiple rotations of these reflecting prisms. The method is useful for the designer and manufacturer of optical systems to estimate and compensate the errors of image orientations and can be applied to the image stabilization system. | |
