ScholarBank@NUS Repository.||Abstract:||A vibration study on rectangular plates, with various combinations of boundary conditions which involve free edges, is carried out by using a very accurate and computationally efficient, newly developed orthogonal plate function in the Rayleigh-Ritz procedure. The orthogonal plate function is constructed by employing the Gram-Schmidt orthogonality relationship.
