dc.description.abstractAn analysis of the radiation Q of electrically large loop antennas is presented and its characteristic are discussed. The methodology involves the spherical mode expansion for the fields outside the loop. It is found that higher-order modes need to be considered for a realistic estimate of the radiation Q of large loops.
