dc.description.abstractA simple broadband and linear photonic RF phase shifter is proposed and experimentally demonstrated based on distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) fiber lasers and polarization sensitive effect of optical phase modulator. Photonic RF signal sources with frequency range from 1.6186-GHz to 3.7016-GHz are investigated. The full 360° phase shift of the broadband photonic RF signals can be achieved and tuned stably, continuously and linearly with low electrical control voltage. © 2013 Elsevier B.V.
