Abstract: We demonstrate chirp-free high-speed return-to-zero optical pulse-train generation with a repetition rate of 40 and 80 GHz using a phase modulator driven by an electrical clock at half frequency and a single piece of polarization-maintaining fiber. © 2006 IEEE.
