Abstract: A fast robust tracking system based on computing homographies was presented. The homography represented a good approximation of the true image flow, particularly when the image structure was near planar or the camera movement was small and the scene structure was mostly distant. The technique could recover pure camera rotations and was used to develop an outdoor augmented reality (AR) tracking system.
