Abstract: A parametric study on the normalized susceptance of cascaded multiple and symmetrical irises is presented in this article. Numerical experiments have been conducted based on a modification to the Masterman's break-point technique for an infinitely thin inductive iris. Results for potential applications, such as in shielding structure design, have been obtained for cascaded single, two, and four symmetrical inductive iris structures. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
