Title: | A framework for quality assurance in teaching | Authors: | Goh, T.N. | Issue Date: | 1996 | Citation: | Goh, T.N. (1996). A framework for quality assurance in teaching. Total Quality Management 7 (2) : 183-188. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | This paper presents - by way of three triangles, two laws and one diagram - a succinct framework for quality assurance in teaching at a tertiary institution. The subject is discussed in terms of (a) quality requirements, (b) quality maintenance and (c) quality audit. Quality requirements are discussed through considerations at institutional, infrastructural and personnel levels. The maintenance of quality is summarized through two natural laws, and a simple diagram guides the monitoring of quality at all three levels. With the simply laid out criteria, both administrators and teachers can readily identify strengths and weaknesses in current performance, and work out ways to improve and maintain quality at their institution. | Source Title: | Total Quality Management | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/54170 | ISSN: | 09544127 |
