dc.description.abstractEngineering collaboration is increasingly important in today's competitive global market. Due to the diversity of industries there is no general collaboration solution for companies in different domains. This paper investigates how to build collaboration solutions for specific domains. Data storage and mold industries are selected to carry out case studies due to their distinct natures. Two portals are built to serve as test-beds to explore various technologies and methods to support collaboration for these two industries.
