dc.description.abstract | A theoretical model for downlink capacity analysis of DS-CDMA based, power controlled wireless local loop system with narrowbeam antenna is presented. Interference from surrounding cells in the multicell environment is investigated. Simulation results show that system capacity can be increased by employing subscriber directional antenna and antenna array at the base station. Next, we studied the capacity performance in the multimedia multirate situation. The effect of other important system parameters on the capacity is also presented for comparison. | |
