Law has an important supportive role in containing the spread of AIDS. This essay hopes to show the ways in which law can help and ways in which it cannot. There is a discussion of the relevant laws of Singapore including the Infectious Diseases (Amendment) Act, 1992. Areas where possible future legislation may be considered are also pointed out.
