This paper reports on a study using two measures to assess the change in perception during a GDSS session. namely, change in understanding and coorientation. The group members underwent the GDSS session in either one of three treatments: (1) no facilitator support; (2) task facilitator support; and (3) task with interactional facilitator support. The results demonstrate evidence for the adoption of facilitator intervention in GDSS groups to affect the group member's perception of others' viewpoints.
