Abstract: The semantic space, which is a pervasive computing infrastructure, that exploits semantic web technologies to support explicit representation, expressive querying and flexible reasoning of contexts in smart spaces is discussed. The semantic web tools support interpretation of context which has explicit semantic representation. The infrastructure helps to simplify the context processing by supporting the process of gathering contexts from the sources, managing contexts using knowledge base and reasoning about the contexts based on rules.
