The design and implementation of a game engine, SimpEngine for air combat simulation is discussed. The SimpEngine bases are COGLWindow and CNode, COGLWindow created an openGL window and handled the window messages from the operating system while CNode is use to build the world object hierarchy. There are four forces acting on the aircraft such as lift, weight, thrust and drag. The rocket is the weapon, represented by the crocket class with two types of enemies such as Ogro and Sod based on the MD2, a 3D model format.
