dc.description.abstractManzamines, administered either intraperitoneally or orally, have been found to prolong survival and inhibit parasitemia in erythrocytic stage malaria. Thus, manzamines can be used for both prophylaxis and treatment. Manzamine A is a preferred compound for use in prophylaxis or treatment.
