Abstract: To reduce anthropogenic emissions, studies have highlighted the importance of environmental education, such as guided tours, to encourage pro-environmental behaviour. This study aims to understand the effectiveness of guided tours in a green building on youths’ pro-environmental literacy and behavioural intention. Results from the Wilcoxon paired samples t-test revealed a significant increase in pro-environmental awareness, attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioural control, and citizenship behaviour after the guided tour. Pro-environmental intention was also higher post-tour. A regression analysis with students’ pre-tour responses revealed a significantly positive relationship between pro-environmental intention and awareness. A separate regression on students’ post-tour responses revealed a positively significant relationship between students’ awareness, subjective norm, and perceived behavioural control, with their behavioural intention. Students’ survey responses also revealed that most of them perceived the tour positively, implying that the guided tour was not only effective in enhancing students’ pro-environmental literacy and behavioural intention, but also positively perceived.
