Abstract: Singapore has been known as one of the greenest cities in the world. Since independence, Singapore has been focusing on creating “green city” and its city’s plannings has been revolving around the idea of “green city” ever since. However, Covid-19 came about and disrupted everyone’s lives and countries came up with measures to curb the spread of the virus. Likewise, in Singapore, lockdowns and safe management measures were put in place to restrict the movement of people and reduce the spread of the virus as much as possible. The Covid-19 has affected the world and Singapore was not sparred. As such, it would be interesting to explore the impacts of Covid-19 and how has it affected the idea of “green city” in Singapore. Whether the impacts of Covid-19 had changed the idea of “green city” in Singapore and what are the next plans for Singapore after covid? To further examine the impact of Covid-19 on the people’s habits, a survey of 110 respondents was crafted to compare if the Covid-19 has impacted them to frequent the parks more. A study on the Singapore Green Plans was also carried out to better understand the differences between the goals before the pandemic and after the pandemic, especially when the Green Plan 2030 was released in 2021 which were planned to guide Singapore to rebuild post-covid in a sustainable and inclusive manner.
