CURBING DRUG ABUSE IN SINGAPORE : THE ROLE OF CENTRAL NARCOTICS BUREAU

Abstract

Drug abuse is recognized as a social problem all across the globe. In this thesis. I seek to explore how a public agency like the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) can help to curb the problem of drug abuse in Singapore. This will be done by examining the different dimensions of the CNB. Namely, the origins, strategies adopted and its personnel management will be discussed. Finally, an evaluation of CNB's role will be highlighted in this thesis.
