Abstract: The management of Mindef camps is awarded through tender by a term contract for a particular period. The contract covers operation and maintenance of all the equipment in the camp, regular inspection of training facilities and accommodation, supervision of term contractors for services such as grass-cutting and house-keeping. Since the National Service men are trained in the camps, it is essential to maintain the training facilities and accommodation in a good condition. In this dissertation, surveys are conducted to find out whether the users (present and previous National Service men) are satisfied with the training facilities and accommodation within the Mindef camps. The survey focuses on the users' feedback on the quality of service and support. 62.5% of the National Service men are satisfied with the level of performance of the managing agent in the management of the Mindef camps. 14.5% of National Service men are dissatisfied with the managing agent's level of performance. It was observed that when age and education level increase, the satisfactory level of national servicemen decreases. The satisfactory level could be maintained through issuing benefits. Since the satisfactory level of the national servicemen is 62.5% due to the good performance of the managing agent, the service of the managing agent could be continued. Implications could be such that the managing agent would have to continuously improve their performance level of service as the future national service men would be better educated than the present.
