The objective of this study aims to examine specifically, the provision of children playgrounds in Singapore's high-rise public housing namely 2 precincts in Punggol 21. It is also to examine the usage and attractiveness as well as the quality of the playgrounds. The study found that it is the physical factors like design, safety features, materials, and equipment play a more important role in the quality of playground. Type of equipment is the most significant in attracting children to the playground. Finally this study has assisted to identify the important features and playground equipments that are actually lacking in our playgrounds especially for the 8 to 15 years age young people in our society. Authorities designing provision of play equipments in playgrounds should upgrade and improve the playgrounds to suit the older age groups.
