Abstract: Background: Individuals with negative body image experience negative thoughts and feelings about their body. Young adults are vulnerable to developing body image concerns as transitions during this developmental period place them susceptible to social pressures associated with physical appearances. Thus, prevention efforts are crucial to alleviate body image concerns in young adults. Aims: To examine the effectiveness of a self-guided mobile-based application in improving body image and self-compassion in a sample of university students.
