ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | As digitalization has developed, robust computer systems, including big data, machine learning (AI), cloud technology, digital twins, and network virtualization, have been employed in various industries. This study evaluates the uses and opportunities of AI in digital twins by considering the research findings of the present existing literature in order to investigate the current condition of the usage of digital twins in cooperation with AI. The present state of digital twin usage in the fields of smart indoor monitoring and control and smart city security is covered, as well as current obstacles and future themes to consider. The use of related technologies and AI in Smart Indoor Monitoring and Control, malfunction alert, security system, and surveillance has been discovered to have substantial effects. It can save up to 80 percent of effort and cash in a simulated environment. The same road circumstances can lower the variable magnitude of the existing home protection dynamics system and significantly increase the accuracy rate. The development of a digital residential environment in the smart housing of intelligent homes can give immediate problem notification, improve the operation life of the device, and mainly categorize the home's operational safety. The actual living setting is replicated in smart city dwellings. Home security is reestablished, resulting in a valuable and concise safety environment and urban housing control that can be conducted swiftly and effectively.
