Abstract: Climate change has brought about various impacts to the built environment and has also affected the well-being of workers whenever they are carrying out maintenance for buildings. As such, this paper seeks to identify whether current Design for Safety (DFS) and Design for Maintainability measures are sufficient to cope with worsening climate changes and subsequently provide suggestions to better improve current standards to mitigate the impacts of climate change on workplace safety.
