Abstract: In the evolution of building evaluation, much has been done to improve the methods of conducting Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE). A review of past POE studies is performed to gain a better understanding of the issues that surrounds the problem of low POE utility. It can be observed that the methods in which POE is being carried out is shifting. Hence, this dissertation recognizes the need to leverage aspects of Information Communication Technology (ICT) as catalyst to increase the number of user-generated feedback in POE studies. Three forms of ICT are discussed, namely Changi Airport’s Service Workforce Instant Feedback Transformation (SWIFT), the use of mobile application to perform a survey and social media as a marketing tool. It has been found through surveys that NUS UTown building users are generally receptive of the ICT Approach for POE. The dissertation proposes an integration of the three forms of ICT as a comprehensive data collection tool in POE studies. It is found to be relevant and useful in the Singapore building industry as the Green Mark Scheme award by Building and Construction Authority (BCA) in Singapore recognizes the importance of performing POE in a sustainable building.
