Abstract: The thesis aims to enhance Modern Heritage awareness in Jurong Lake District by retaining the ensemble of 4 modern buildings along Jurong Town Hall Road (and not just the selective conservation of the two “iconic” buildings proposed by the state) and converting them into an attractive Civic and Culture Park that is currently missing in the new masterplan. The new Civic and Culture Park will commemorate the modern heritage of Jurong while complementing the new CBD by addressing the cultural needs of the new district. Consequently, this will lead to a more sustainable conservation of modern heritage.
